I have not been feeling well since the holidays were over so I decided to do a two-day cleanse to see if it would help. This is a gentle cleanse, so-called white-pants approved. In other words, you won’t have to stay close to a bathroom on this cleanse. I’ve never done one before and wanted to try so today was Day 1.
The cleanse requires that you drink the cleanse drink before breakfast and then again before dinner. Have a healthy lunch and eat clean all day. Oh, and drink 8 glasses of water. So how did it go? Well, I did the cleanse because I felt bloated and wanted to get rid of some intestinal sludge. And now all I feel is waterlogged and bloated. It’s supposed to give you energy, and that it definitely did. By now, I would be dragging. And I feel pretty good.
But I’m not a great water drinker. I do love water, I just don’t drink nearly enough each day. So trying to get 8 glasses in a day is more of a challenge than the cleanse itself. As of this writing, I’m nursing my fourth cup and doubt that I’ll make it to 8 since it’s getting late. I did get a late start though, so I’m sure that didn’t help.
Maybe Day 2 is where the real magic happens. I mean, I followed it as directed, save the water part, so I’m anticipating that tomorrow will be better. Or at least I’ll get a jump on the water situation, which will hopefully help.
I’m praying for some kind of watershed moment between now and tomorrow. Yep, pun intended.
